I used to be a journalist when I decided to quit the stressing life in the media to enjoy the natural landscapes and quiet life as much as I can. I have been living in San Pedro for about three years now and working in the tourism industry. I started working in one of the luxury hotels of San Pedro. After more than a year working there, I decided to start working by myself guiding mostly private tours.
Since I arrived in San Pedro I have taken some courses to improve my knowledge of the region (like a geology course), and I'm always trying to keep myself updated. I have a natural interest in animals, so my tours include binoculars to observe birds, for example, and reference books. I'm also certified in the WFR Course (Wilderness First Responder Training).
I am the kind of guide who also likes to listen to the stories, interests, impressions and feedback of the passengers. I always appreciate to exchange different points of view about anything that naturally comes out in the conversation. Of course, the main interest is the tour but that doesn't mean that we will not talk about history and recent events.
San Pedro and the Atacama desert offer a big variety of tour options depending on the kind of traveller you are.
Let's find what fits you or your group the best and explore the driest place on earth together!
