Bahia's Gastronomy, Culture and History
First time in Salvador? This is the perfect tour for you.
A special day tour: feel the colors and flavours of Bahia, the best of town in a full day experience tour!
During this tour we usually visit Historical Town (Pelourinho), Cidade Baixa/Lower City, plus a panoramic view of Barra, Baia de Todos os Santos and Mercado Modelo. SUNSET in Salvador is a plus in the tour!!!!
If you want, we can also do 4 hour tour during the day and a by night, as long as we do it in the same day. That is a perfect way to see the city of Salvador, complete tour in one day!
For lunch (not included on the tour), I suggest options in Ribeira, Pedra Furada (Bonfim) or Pelourinho. You can not leave Bahia without our typical food Muqueca, Bobo de Camarão or Escondidinho/Arrumadinho.
Join the tour and come to see Salvador
Suggestion of standard tour (we can adjust for your needs): panoramic tour in Barra and Dique do Tororo. Them heading to Cidade Baixa (Ribeira, Bonfim and Ponta Humaita). Lunch Time (at Cidade Baixa or Pelourinho) and them explore the historical part of the city + Mercado Modelo (souvenir mkt)
Meeting Location + Tour Duration
Meeting location: Any place in Salvador + cruise terminal, please request a special tour if you want pick ups outside town (eg. Praia do Forte, Itaparica, etc)
End location: At the place of picking up or anywhere closeby (restaurants, shoppings, beach)
Duration: 8 hours
This includes time of picking up and droping you off at the end of the tour. I usually recommend picking up at around 10AM so we have time to see the upper city and lower city, enjoying the views and lunch.
Private car - FIAT Siena 2012 with AC. For bigger groups (more them 3, we can adjust the vehicle and transportation).
If you want we can add a extra cost for a private driver, besides the tour guide.
Estimated Local Cash Needed
50 Reais - Payment for extras like museums and churches (lighthouse R$ 15 or igreja sao francisco R$ 5).

Sayuri is a fantastic guide, full of knowledge and interest in what she is doing and in you - the traveler. She's easy going and flexible and the tour was more then what I could have hoped for. I would recommend Sayuri to anyone traveling to Salvador. 5*
