It is so easy to write these words now, but it was such a long, hard, amazing and challenging way in my life to reach the place I am right now.
I have graduated from State Saint Petersburg University, extremely thankful to my parents who gave me this opportunity. My major was Linguistics and cross-cultural communication specialist, but my passion was/is Russian history. This combination made me who I am; totally in love with the work I am doing. The history and diversity of Saint Petersburg doesn't give you any chance to be indifferent with this place. Even (if it's possible) you have never been interested in history of Russia, Saint Petersburg particularly. Streets, canals, gardens, theatres, museums, people, love, rains, all shadows of gray in ONE day; this is all about one place. All this inspires me every day, not the day I am giving the tour, indeed every single day of my life in this city!
The story of my life is probably very common for the girl from the Soviet Union. When I was a child my parents moved to the North, peninsula Yamal. My grandfather and my father were helicopter pilots; during the Soviet time it was a good place to earn some money. I spent my childhood in the place where -45 Celsius was an ordinary day, that is the main reason I enjoy weather in Saint Petersburg! )) Even there is no sun for the month. After a while I moved by myself to Saint Petersburg to my grandmother; finished school and entered the University.
I am very happy person - I love my job, my city, my big family and all new people who are coming to my life with every new ship in our port. I totally believe that this world gives you what you deserve; I am so thankful for my kind, nice, with great sense of humor guests - all this means the only one - I am on the right way!
I like and love to work! If you want to change the tour - you are very welcome! All tours are flexible (While you are planning the trip to Russia) I am happy to customize your requests! Let's make your tour - Dream Tour to Russia togeather!!
A Recent Review of this guide
Kristina was great - from planning our tour to running it. She was flexible and thoughtful about how to make the itinerary work for 2 adults and 2 children (10 and 7) and when we arrived was hugely engaging with us and the children. Kristina offered real local and historical knowledge, and made our time in St Petersburg very enjoyable. I have to say, given it was Navy day on one of the tour days, she also found ways round unexpected challenges (like bridges not being down)! Thank you.
