Well, here I am to share my passion for this fabulous city with you!
First of all, a few words about myself. My name is Tatiana and besides being a citizen of St. Petersburg, by a lucky chance, I am also a professional tour guide licensed by the local government.
I have been working as a guide for five years now (not too long, I know) and I adore this job. After graduating from the university I spent 6 years working as a translator in the office, which one day I got bored with. So I graduated from a special course for Tour Guides and found the job of my dreams. Now, I am enjoying every single day at work walking around the most beautiful and interesting places in a pleasant company.
Many guides here are proud of calling themselves locals as they were born here. I wasn't born in Saint Petersburg (something we cannot choose) but in Siberia (the most mysterious part of our country), which adds a lot to my character and my experience. I will be happy to share my endless stories about the unusual way of life there if you are interested.
I decided that I would move here since I was a little girl and I have lived here for 10 years now. The fact that I chose Saint Petersburg to become my city does not make me "less local", it just means that I have to work twice harder and to love it twice stronger to be able to call myself "local".
I have a great experience organizing private tours for small parties and big groups. I am very flexible and we can adapt the itinerary according to your needs and tastes.
I always do my best to find an individual approach with all the travellers that choose to spend their time in Russia with me.
The tours on my list are just a few examples. I am open to all the ideas you have in mind. Besides all the main museums listed in my credentials, I will be happy to organize some specific tours for you, like Revolutionary St. Petersburg, to walks around the places of Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Leo Tolstoy or even Putin's places if you wish ;).
I can help you spend a great night watching the Russian ballet or a folkloric show. We can have a great fun visiting Russian banya (sauna in Russia), taste local food and drink Russian vodka. I will introduce you my bear-pet (just a joke, I left it back in Siberia :) .
So don't miss the opportunity to visit the best Russian city; we will have an unforgettable time together!
A Recent Review of this guide
Tatiana could not have been more helpful when organising our visit to St Petersburg and really helped us get the most out of it. Would recommend her (and Svetlana, who drove) to anyone interested in packing in as much history as they can during a short visit to the city.
