My name is Ksenia and I am from Saint-Petersburg (or Leningrad). Ksenia is a very common name here as one of the
city's Patron Saints is St. Ksenia! You are more than welcome to my native land, the place where I was born and raised up. The city has passed through so many dramatic changes, but remains one of the most attractive for the guests in our country.
As a Russian person I visited many republics of the former Soviet Union in my childhood: Georgia, Arminia, Ukrain, Baltic states etc. I even lived for 8 years in the Crimean peninsula (Sevastopol) near M. Gorbachev estate during the period of the collapse of USSR. That's why for me it is so interesting to compare the life those days and in the modern country.
I was interested in art history from my childhood as my granny who actually raised me up worked as a painter, and I spent all the time with her. Department of the Foreign languages and Academy of Fine Arts forced me to share my passion towards art and architecture with the guests of St. Petersburg and Moscow.
I've been working as a tour guide here in St. Petersburg for 12 years, and as tour leader on the boats Moscow-St. Petersburg giving lectures etc. for about 7 years. Being hired by one American company I bring foreign groups to Scandinavia few times a year. I enjoy this touristic sphere and working with people a lot!
In my private life I enjoy travelling a lot and couple of times per year I try to bring my little daughter Anna to the sea. Also St. Petersburg is a great place to enjoy exhibitions of different kind and we love to go there. Skiing and skating are my favorite sports from the childhood as I was born here in the very northern city. I can't say that I have much time for the hobbies but reading at least an hour before I go to bed is a kind of a hobby (and I try to read not just the fairy tales for 3 year old child, but something else as well).
Please come here and be my guests and I will show you around with a big pleasure.
A Recent Review of this guide
Ksenia was incredible. She took our group of 10 to all the Don't miss sites in St Petersburg. She kept us on schedule and moving but did not leave any place or detail out. The van and driver provided was safe and clean, practically new. all of our expectations were exceeded by Ksenia and Tours by Locals. We will be using the site in our future travels.
