Irina L.

Saint Petersburg, Sankt-Peterburg, Russia

Hello, dear guests. My name is Irina. Living in my native Saint-Petersburg, I always dreamt to show this beautiful city to visitors.

I entered the University of Culture and Arts where my professors gave me the detailed knowledge about painting, architectural styles and world's heritage. I was taught to understand art, its features and, of course, to appreciate it.

The first steps like a tour guide I made when I was a student. It was sightseeing tour. And I did my best to organise it stunningly. Every time I met new people with new questions. And our conversations were fascinating. I think that "to comunicate" doesn't mean only "to tell information", but it is also teamwork skill. Tour guide, driver and tourists are one big friendly team, in which everybody feels comfortable!

Surely guiding is your job or profession, but it also becomes your life style. Still now I prepare my tours with latest news and interesting facts about our country, city, history. I read lots of books like biographies of Russian Historical persons, well- known all over the world. To my mind it is very important to be informed well. That's why one of my main missions like a guide is to share my love to the city with my tourists, to cause their desire to learn more about Russia and indisputably come back again. My private interest is the Romanov's dynasty. I can speak about it for houres. . .

I offer tours in both languages: English and Spanish for 10 years now. I really enjoy my job and think that the best grade of guide's work is the phrase of tourists: "It was great. Thank you".

In my free time I like to walk and take pictures, which contain any story line. As a result I'm always glad when tourists ask me to make photo with them. Another hobby is painting, but not professional. Usually it is a still life or urban landscape. To my mind we all need to see the beauty in the world, because, in this case, we will live in harmony and peace!
