I will be happy to share my knowledge the city with you!
A few words about myself: I am native Peterburgian (a strange and clumsy word) in 4th generation. My family lives here since 19th century, so most of city history I first learned through family stories and legends. Here came my very personal attitude to history. It's not something boring, that's just about dates, names and important battles. No it brings back people's lives. So I naturally got interested in history and became a sort of family guide taking around friends and relative coming for a visit.
After school I studied linguistics at university and took a guiding course to practice English and German. I so much enjoyed meeting people from all over the world and sharing my knowledge and personal experiences with them that I understood that my true calling is to show people the city I love.
Saint-Petersburg has always been a constant source of inspiration for me and my work. It's amazingly historic and cosmopolitan place. You will see a glorious 18-19th century capital of a huge Russian Empire, and then I will lead you through the turbulent history of 20th century and all the Soviet time and bring you back to a modern lively bustling city.
You can view my tours as outlines that can be easily customized to cater for your interests. I am a very open-minded and flexible person. I like going off the beaten track to show non-touristy city to my guests.
I also organize visa-free excursions for cruise ship passengers and special excursions for children.
I have all the necessary qualifications and licenses, and some 10 years of experience in tourism industry. So you can relax during the tour and enjoy warm atmosphere of Saint-Petersburg.
You are very welcome to St. Petersburg!
