We'll arrive directly to the Church of our Lady of Dolores, where we'll admire it's beautiful baroque facade and go inside to see the incredible wood carvings with which it is decorated.

After the church, we'll talk about Mexico's independence, it's roots, causes and effects on past and current culture. We'll visit the Casa Hidalgo museum, where we'll see how the the town became famous for it's ceramics and vineyards.

After that we'll head to the main square to enjoy one of the many many ice cream flavors that the town is famous for.

On our way back to San Miguel, we'll stop at Atotonilco, to visit the Sanctuary considered "The Sistine Chapel of America", here we'll appreciate the frescos that were painted in the 18th century, considered the highest expression of Mexican Baroque.
