Warnemünde from fishing village to seaside resort and Rostock a hanseatic town
We will have a short walk to the most interesting places in Warnemünde. See the pretty houses of the former fishermen, the lighthouse, the beach promenade and the lovely boulevard with pubs, shops and many boats along the canal "Alter Strom". Have a look at the area of the port and a former village with typical houses of captains built in 1900. We will have an amazing view to the silhouette of Rostock.
St. Peter's church in the old part of the city is our next stop. Pass the most significant attractions, restored merchant gabled houses with beatiful terracotta, the New market square and town hall, university's main building and boulevard Kröpeliner Street lined with historic buildings. See the Holy Cross Convent, parts of the town wall. A visit to the the famous Astronomic Clock on St. Mary's church, built in 1472, is among the highlights in Rostock.
Of cource there will be some time for a lunch or snack and and the opportunity to stroll, shop or walk.
Sightseeing tour with some city walks on cobblestones! Wear comfortable shoes! No flipflops.
