I'm a licensed tourist guide since 1995.
I have a degree in Art History and Archaeology of the Mediterranean area. I studied at the Third University of Rome, the Art Faculty is located in the ancient roman Diocletian Baths, from the window I could focus on the ancient ruins… I like roman and Greek art and also the baroque art.
I took some examinations about the modern art and mostly about six hundred, so I deeply studied Bernini, Borromini and my favorite Caravaggio.
During my course I fell in love with Archeology and I took part in excavations in Italy, in Etruscan sites and abroad in Carnuntum (Austria), where the roman legions were in defense of the Danube border. I'm addicted to marble definitely!
From 1990 I keep on with my studies on Rome and surroundings working with Cultural Associations of the Eternal City.
Rome is a fascinating city full of history and art which perfectly match with the actual living and tasting.
I am ready to share with you my knowledge and passion make sure you'll have the greatest experiences in my city!
A Recent Review of this guide
Our family of 7 people thoroughly enjoyed our tour with Marina. She was astonishingly knowledgeable about art, architecture, local information and historical events and people. She was patient, fun, tireless and considerate of the two teenagers in our group. At no time did they appear bored or visit their cell phones, which is extraordinary. She kept everyone together and informed under very crowded circumstances. We found Marina to be charming, and fascinating - and heartily recommend her tour!
