German Riesling is one of the most famous noble grapes and the Rheingau is the cradle of Germany's wine culture - discover the Riesling route between vineyards and castles. Enjoy some beautiful nature along with a tingle of your tastebuds just when you thought all Rieslings taste alike. . . :-)

We'll meet in Frankfurt and drive to the Rheingau for the famous Riesling route - first stop will be Eltville and it's historic monastery Kloster Eberbach

From there we'll drive alongside the hillsides of the Rheingau between vineyards and nature to our next stop, the castle Vollrads, one of the oldest vineyards in the traditional Riesling area
and continue to Johannesberg castle where another Riesling story awaits us.

A Recent Review of this tour

On our second day, Sabine drove us to Lorraine ,France in her Mercedes. We arrived at the American cemetery early on a beautiful day. Being the first person in my family to visit my Uncle's grave since WW2 was incredibly moving & Sabine was most helpful through her sensitivity and experience. Returning, we crossed the Rhine on a ferry & had schnitzel at a little restaurant in Rudesheim. Sabine picked the perfect Rieslings for Jan & I. We also went to places in Mainz, on our own, that Sabine suggested!
