Authentic New York with a private licensed guide
I meet you at your hotel for your private tour and travel via subway to the starting point of your tour of the fascinating streets of New York; the REAL New York where the Locals live and work. . . Amongst the numerous experiences, you will walk the cozy, winding streets of the West Village in Greenwich Village where all but the locals get lost. . . This is where the Friends (of TV fame) apartment building is found, the Godfather was filmed and many more films used these streets for their scenes. We may even get to see a scene being shot! This is also where many movie stars in New York actually live. The famous clubs and restaurants are also on the 'menu'.
SOHO is on the agenda: Its marvelous galleries and New York designer stores are a treat and I will be sure you get to see the very best. Chinatown and Little Italy round out a fascinating, one of a kind private tour.
This private tour is my 'New York Like a New Yorker' tour because on this itinerary, as described above, you walk the streets and use the subway like a New Yorker. You will walk the fabled streets of the West Village (it's part of Greenwich Village), see the sites of movies and TV Shows and also the clubs where many famous musicians such as Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan etc were 'discovered'. SOHO IS ALSO TERRIFIC with Art Galleries galore and Designer Stores. The Authentic streets of Chinatown and Little Italy round out your 'New York Like a New Yorker' experience. Super. We had some rescheduling to do because of bad weather the day before, but Remo worked hard to make sure we could see as much as we could see during the limited time and yucky weather. He accommodated everything our disjointed group asked for with a smile. It was a pleasure to spend a couple of mornings with him!
