Get to know the person behind the tour

Diane B.

Québec, Canada

I am a people-oriented, knowledgeable and resourceful person, born in the magnificent Quebec City.

I have been a Quebec City historical Tour Guide since 2004 and I am very enthusiastic when I talk about New France History. Having strong communication skills in English, I really enjoy meeting tourists from all around the world.

I hold a Quebec Bachelor Degree in Teaching since 1983. In fact, I used to be a High School Teacher. Later on, I studied Tourism and I obtained a Quebec Diploma of College Studies in Tourism. During the 80's and the 90's I've been traveling a lot in Europe, United States and Canada.

If you are looking for an excellent guide who has many years of experience in guiding, I am the one that you need. If you want to see a lot of details in Quebec City's architecture, the Walking Tour of Old Quebec and the Historical Lower Town would be the best one for you. As a second choice I offer the Walking Tour of the Modern Lower Town. The two first tours can be done in winter, but you will need warm clothes.
I also offer an Orleans' Island /Montmorency Falls Car Tour and the Old King's Road Car Tour.

In September and October I am very busy as a Tour Guide, so please book early.

Quebec City is a World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1985. It's the first city in North America to be on this list, and not only it is an exceptional, historical and architectural town but it is also amidst a gorgeous natural landscape perched on top of Cape Diamond and overlooking the majestic Saint-Lawrence River. Compared to other cities in the world, Quebec City is not very old; however, it is the oldest city north of Florida. (St. Augustine being the oldest city, founded in 1565)

A Recent Review of this guide

My wife and I had a wonderful, relaxed and educational day with Diane. We were never rushed and she had excellent knowledge about this beautiful place. She was clearly personally familiar with some of the artists we visited and through that connection made us feel very much at home. I would recommend her if someone is looking for an intimate personal tour of Quebec City and the surrounding area. If you come in late October be sure to bundle up for the weather.. We had such great fun with Diane!
