I spent much of my childhood in Punta. In fact my grandfather was the owner of one of the first houses built in "La punta" in front of the "Candelaria" church. So, naturally I always dreamt of moving here one day. I have been living in "La Barra", a little town just a 10 minute drive away from Punta, since 2011.
I have a degree in Interior Design and own an event planning business.
I collaborated in the design of an interpretive eco-cultural trail located on Gorriti Island which allowed me to learn about Punta's history and present touristic development. This experience had me working shoulder to shoulder with the most renowned archeologists and historians of the area, something that made me grow and deepen my knowledge about this territory.
This was a strengthening experience and a few years ago I started to give English speaking walking tours in the high season to take advantage of all the information acquired, and also adding my knowledge about architecture and design.
I always like to show Punta del Este from a different perspective, from a more local point of view one rather than the typical tour. We are all aware how the city is known worldwide; luxury, exclusivity, five stars resorts, celebrities, beaches and casino. But what it is like to live here all year, the lifestyle of the people who chose to live here, the philosophy of life of our community, so that you can understand why it is such a particular and amazing place and why I chose this place as my home.
All my tours can be customized to your pace and interests. If you have questions or suggestions, please do get in touch with me.
I look forward to welcoming you to Punta del Este and showing you around!

Ximena has been the perfect tour host. Being a native of Punta Del Este, she knows everything! We enjoyed getting to know her and about what life is like in the region. We would highly recommend her to anyone who is considering having a tour in the area!
