Old San Juan streets, Casa Blanca gardens and Botanical Gardens
On this tour we visit the hidden gardens in Old San Juan, it's beautiful alleys and cobblestone streets to then go to Botanical Gardens at the University of Puerto Rico.
Most guest go straight to the forts and shopping in old San juan. But here we get a chance to appreciate the beautiful gardens hidden in Old San Juan. Casa Blanca is the house museum that was Ponce de Leon's first residence on the islet. It's home to some of the most lovely gardens in the old city. The famous Callejones or alleys in the walled city are also natural and architectural gems great for pictures or just to walk around in. We can make a pit stop in one of many Cafe's that serves authentic Puerto Rican coffee. To end our urban forest stroll we go check out the stunning oasis in San Juan, the Botanical Gardens located at the Rio Piedras Campus of the University of Puerto Rico.
We can meet up in any plaza in Old San Juan to start walking or I can pick you up in my car. We can start with Botanical gardens first.
We can start this tour either walking in old San Juan or driving to Botanical Gardens.
We meet up at any plaza in the old city and make our way through the cobblestone streets and alleys. Then we enter Casa Blanca house museum and its gardens. Time for coffee and snacks at an authentic Puerto Rican shop. To end we get in my car to drive to the botanical garden in Rio Piedras which is 15-20 min away. There we park and explore its beauty.
Or we can start driving to the Botanical Gardens and then do the walking tour in old San Juan. It's up to you!
