Food and shopping adventure
The Strip District is one of our favorite neighborhoods in Pittsburgh for a number of reasons. It is home to a large assortment of international grocery stores and retailers, boutique shops, independent merchants, and several of the best restaurants in Pittsburgh. It is a one-half square mile area of land and runs between 13th and 33rd Streets and includes three main thoroughfares — Smallman St , Penn Ave, and Liberty Ave. Whether you decide to devour a Primanti Brothers signature sandwich, try some of the best homemade Italian pastries on earth or bone up on Pittsburgh at the Senator John Heinz History Center the strip district vibe is gritty and authentic. Bursting with local flavor. No pretense, no fluff. Just plain good!
Pick up at your hotel and transportation to the strip district for a walking tour, shopping and eateries. The tour runs 4. 5 hours to provide adaquate time to explore the many shops and also time to enjoy a bite to eat. Once we park you are able to navigate the area by foot. This is the best place in the city to purchase Pittsburgh souvenirs especially our famous "Terrible Towel". Time in the strip can be adjusted to include a stop at Rivers Casino if preferred. Early morning is the best time to visit this area, however start time will be determined at booking.
