Shore Excursion, visiting the mountains of Montenegro
We will start the day with a spectacular drive along the Mount Lovcen Pass giving you the most stunning views over the most beautiful bay in the Mediterranean. The road continues to Njegusi mountain village where in 1813 Petar II Petrovic Njegusi was born, he was one of the most beloved leaders of Montenegro and now rests in a mausoleum on top of the Lovcen Mount.
Njegusi is also famous for its air-dried ham (Njeguski prsut), flat bread (Lepinja) and cheese (Njeguski Sir). here you will have some leisure time for Coffee break and chance to buy or sample the local specialties. Liset was excellent. She was very knowledgeable, considerate of our needs and she had a great itinerary set up for the time we had available. This was one of the best outings we had our entire 10 day trip. A visit to a local family that produced prosciutto (with lunch included) was a true highlight. We would highly recommend her and her services.
