I've been in Mexico and Great Britain when I was a student. Also I traveled more than 40 times(19 countries).
I've been guiding many guests in English and Spanish. I'm also licensed in Tea ceremony and Japanese flower arrangement.
Besides working as a licences guide, I work in the tea ceremony workshop for foreign visitors.
Since I'm a avid traveler,
I'm happy to help my client to offer the best of best experiences in my city and country, Japan.
In my tour,
I always try to share the local experiences, culture topics, and make you feel as if you are spending time being a part of Kyoto and Japan.
The characteristic of my guiding is use of ''Original materials''.
Guiding not only with words but also with Handmade materials such as old maps, ancient writings, pictures and Japanese wood rock prints help you enjoy Kyoto with its deep history and background.
If I could be your guide in Kyoto, I will do all my best to make your days in Kyoto very confortable, interesting and enjoyable.
I look forward to meeting you and showing you around!
A Recent Review of this guide
Mayako was the most organized tour guide I've ever had the pleasure to have. She was so well prepared and offered insights into the history of Kyoto in a way that allowed a foreigner to quickly understand the complex history of the city. Her bag was a virtual library of booklets she created herself full of visual aids that worked perfectly with her great explanations. I would highly recommend Mayako to anyone looking for an extremely thoughtful, highly knowledgeable and wonderfully organized tour guide
