Cruise to Greenwich and full day guided tour with a private professional guide
This is a tour with a wonderful opportunity to see major buildings of London from the river Thames as we will travel by boat from central London to Greenwich. Greenwich has a long and fascinating history as a royal residence, an important naval college, an astronomical observation spot, etc. . . .
You will get a guided tour of the most important historic buildings and we will walk to the Royal Observatory where the Meridian Line is situated. During the walking tour we will also see the famous tea clipper the Cutty Sark, the Queen's house, a Palladio style villa made for Queen Henrietta Maria and the old Naval College. At the top of the hill is the most magnificent viewing point on East London Docklands and central London in the distance.
There are many traditional pubs and restaurants in Greenwich for a quick lunch in the beautiful old town of Greenwich. You won't be disappointed with this tour, even if the weather is bad, the views are still amazing.
Your guide collects you from your hotel and we will go to Embankment Pier to board on a cruise from central London to Greenwich (approx 45 min) with great views. We will travel via the Tower of London and the Docklands to Greenwich.
In Greenwich we will do a guided walking tour with options to visit the Queens House, Queens Chapel and through the beautiful park to the Royal Observatory where the Greenwich Meantime Meridian Line is located.
We will have a short break at lunchtime to eat something in one of the many old pubs restaurants or coffee bars in Greenwich town and travel back by cruise to central London around 16h.
