Landing/ Normandy/ June6/ A Day of Remembrance
For almost 5 years, I have been specializing in Private Guided tours of the D-Day Landing Beaches and the Battle of Normandy. I will be glad to share my knowledge about the most impressive naval campaign. With me you'll discover the carnage unleashed here in Normandy on 6 June 1944.
The tour can involve lots of action/walking about/exploring bunkers if you're in to that and depending on how energetic you feel, but a little warning about the weather in Normandy- it could be really nice, sunny, warm, shorts and tee-shirts weather when you're here. It could equally be nasty, cold, windy, raining when you're here.
For my clients I am trying to show as much as I can ( the original weapons, the German defensive areas) adding personal stories, anecdotes and trying to make this day an unforgettable experience. Lunch is as you like, bring or buy sandwiches or at local restaurant.
P. S. my dearest potential clients/ travelers, this DD tour can be customized to your presences/ age/ abilities/ pace.
Tours can be taken to visit the American Landing Zones or the British Landing Zones (Gold and Sword Beaches) and the Canadian Landing Zone (Juno Beach).
La Pointe du Hoc + Omaha + American Cemetery (The most powerful, the most humbling site, the Normandy American Cemetery has 9, 387 burials of US service men and women overlooking Omaha beach. . . )Defended by 1. 200 German troops, having 16 guns, 16 mortars, 86 machine guns, this landing area would create serious troubles for the Americans. . .
British/Canadien sector) - Juno Beach, Canadian Cemetery, Garden of the Canadiens at the Abbey of Ardennes near Caen.
- Sword Beach, Bayeux Cemetery, Pegasus Bridge
- Arromanches, Longues sur Mer (original guns)
P. S. my dearest potential clients/ travelers, all my tours can be customized and adopted to your presences/ age/ interests/ hobbies/ pace. I normally don't recommend/ don't do Utah beach sector from Le Havre ( too long drive-3 hours). In case you absolutely want to see it- let me know in advance.

End location: Le Havre Dock terminal
Duration: 9 hours
I can come to pick you up by 8.30 a.m. (this is the time they let people go)
The way to the landing beaches takes 1h40 minutes, so you will have 6 hours on the sites with me commenting and guiding you if it is the tour of 9 hours.
For the groups up to 7 travelers you will be traveling in a nice VW minivan or a deluxe air-conditioned Mercedes ( contact me for the additional information) WITH the DRIVER and Svetlana as your GUIDE.

Estimated Local Cash Needed
50 euros - I don't really think you need the cash with you, most of places accept Visa or Master credit cards ( some places don't accept The American Express)
Lunch is as you like! But know that going to a nice cafe or a restaurant for 3-4 courses lavish 5 star restaurant takes at least 1-2 hours. So for this tour I'd recommend taking the sandwiches and considering the picnic on the beaches.
In case you want to get some souvenirs on the way you have to consider around 10 Euros or more.

Excellent tour guide. Knew her history well. We chose not to spend to much time at Omaha beach (didn't walk the beach) nor did we spend a lot of time at the American cemetery. So zvetlana took us to 2 great villa ages. Highly recommend her as your next tour guide.
