Discover the beauty of this 400-year-old winter capital in North America.

Old Quebec is a charming town nestled in the narrowing of the beautiful St-Lawrence River. During this tour, I will be more than happy to show you why Quebec City is regularly ranked among the world's top destinations.

This UNESCO World Heritage site has a lot to offer, from old winding streets to trendy local restaurants, from traditional French architecture to proudly standing monuments. Needless to say, the best way to discover this fortified city is definitely by foot, following me through four centuries of history.

Itinerary

This tour is meant to be adapted to your interests and pace. Our walk is planned according to your desire and I can be very flexible on the itinerary. Along the way, here are the main attractions we may see together according to time and/or weather:

The fortifications
Château Frontenac and Dufferin Terrace with the famous tobogganing slide
Notre-Dame-de-Québec Basilica and Holly Trinity Cathedral
City Hall Square (From Nov. 22nd to Dec. 23rd, this is where we find the Christmas Market)
D'Youville Square where we find a beautiful skating rink (skate rental available on site for visitors)
Without forgetting Place Royale and the Petit-Champlain areas where Quebec City was founded.

Meeting Point + Tour Duration

Meeting Point Options: Hotel, Address or Intersection, Monument/Building, Suggested by Guide: We can meet in front of the monument of Samuel de Champlain, standing proudly by the famous Chateau Frontenac hotel.

End Point Options: Hotel, Address or Intersection, Monument/Building

Duration: 2 hours 30 min.

Winter in Quebec City can be very unpredictable and cold. As we are walking outdoor for most of the tour, the itinerary can vary and be adjusted to the weather conditions. However, if you book this tour, I strongly suggest you wear all the gear necessary to enjoy as much as possible your visit of the historic area: mittens, hat or tuque, scarf, winter jacket, as many layers as possible, good winter boots and thick socks.
