Gotokuji temple and Japan Open Air Fork Museum
If you are interested in Traditional Japan but do not have enough time to visit other than Tokyo area, this tour is the perfect choice. In the tour, we take Odakyu line from Shinjuku station and visit interesting places. Basically we will visit 2 places for 5 hours.
Japan Open-Air Folk House Museum preserves very old Beautiful Japanese houses. You may feel as if you traveled to Japan in old days. Some of these houses were moved from Gokayama and Shirakawago villages in central Japan which are designated as Unesco's world cultural heritage site.
You can experience indigo dying, traditional method of dying and making original bandana of your own by paying extra cost. Feel free to ask me about the detail.
We also visit Gotokuji temple where we can see a lot of Manekineko, beckoning cat statues. They are belieaved to beckon good luck.
With extra 1 hour, we can go to Machida, deep local town, hustling and bustling shopping area and always crowdeded with local people.
