Hi, I'm Kumi. I'm a licensed tour guide with a super happy smile! When you see me for the first time on the day of your tour, you will probably recognize me immediately by my big smile.
As a member of the Japan Federation of Certified Guides (JFG), I stay up to date with the latest information about the best sightseeing attractions in and around Tokyo and share information with other guides.
By the way, I have a quiz for you.
Q. If you need a tour guide and a photographer, how many professionals do you need?
A. With Kumi, you only need one!
I studied photography at the International Center of Photography in New York. My photos have been used in the program for the Tokyo production of the Broadway musical "West Side Story, " as well as on various CD covers and concert fliers.
During the escorted tour, I will capture all your delightful moments, and send you the JPEG photos after the tour. You may also order a compact photo book (4 x 6 postcard size). If you're interested in photography, I would be happy to share some tips as well.
So, where would you like to go? What kind of things would you like to experience in Japan? If this is your first time in Japan, I'd highly recommend my "1st Time in Tokyo" tour.
This covers a very old temple, a traditional Japanese Garden where you can enjoy matcha green tea, and a futuristic town called Odaiba. You can experience the great contrast, old and modern.
The shorter version of this tour is "Tokyo Japanesque Private Afternoon Tour. "
I have some other exciting tours, so please check out the tours listed below and feel free to ask me any questions you may have. Since this is your private tour, I can customize them according to your requests.
I'm looking forward to having a blissful time with you!

A Recent Review of this guide
We enjoyed the tour and the added value of the photos taken by Kumiko. Best is to decide what type of aspects are more interesting for you, sites/museums/experiences, and contact Kumiko to tailor the day. Our tour had the "cherry on top" at the end of the day of going to a very special Sake tasting event, with live music. Ask about this because it was a great value for money with over 70 types of sake available for tasting with expert advise from the shop owner.
