Giovanna G.

Vicenza, VI, Italy

Being born in Italy, it's impossible not to be influenced by art, architecture and beauty…. it's a kind of natural inclination!

That's why I decided to dig deep down into these topics, moving from Vicenza to Venice and gaining a Master's degree in History of Art from the University of Venice. A further jump into the aesthetic world and now a permanent state of mind!

I have worked in the tourist field since 2008 and the following year I became a licensed tour guide. In 2014 I expanded my personal and professional horizons by becoming a licensed tour leader.
I can enter Venice cruise terminal as I have a special pass.

If you want to skip overcrowded and commercial places and you would never choose a tour guide holding a polka dot umbrella …then you're definitely looking for me! I am professional, enthusiastic and energetic.

I am absolutely in love with my job, I've chosen it because I like meeting curious souls and helping them experience the deep essence of my territory, with a insider and spontaneous touch.

I offer customized tours, according to your interests and pace. . . so don't hesitate to contact me if you're looking for a special tour, maybe with active kids (I have two kids. . . boys!) or an itinerary that skips all the bridges in Venice.

A Recent Review of this guide

What a fantastic guide! Giovanna is super-helpful, patient, and thoroughly knowledgeable about Venice. She elevated Venice to a higher level of appreciation for us, putting together a great itinerary to cover our long wishlist of attractions. We got to learn not just the history of the sites but also how the city works behind the scenes. Giovanna taught us how to navigate the city and the boat schedules, and even helped us book our our gondola ride and airport ride for the next day. Grazie Giovanna!
