I have lived in Belfast all my life and have worked as a taxi driver for 15 years prior to becoming a tour guide.
As I like to travel myself I appreciate the concept of customer service, so one of the most important aspects of being a tour guide is understanding that the expectations of travellers are different from person to person.
I have toured with the traveller who wants to pack as much in over a short period of time, to the traveller who likes a leisurely tour, whether it be the rich industrial heritage/history of shipbuilding the linen/flax mills of Belfast that where important during two world wars, or discovering the causes of our 'colourful' political history of the last 96 years, to trips farther afield to the north coast which includes the Giants Causeway, Cushendun Caves or as far as Portrush. So, folks feel free to contact me with any enquiries regarding established tours, or any suggestions regarding structuring a tour to meet your needs.

James is amazing! He took the time upon first meeting us to find out about us, discuss what we were interested in and made us feel very comfortable with him.James did an excellent job of showing us the highlights of the city. His explanation of the Irish conflict was through and he helped us understand those painful times in a personal way. James went above and beyond when he included an unexpected stop by the Titanic Exhibit. We ended our time together feeling as if we had just visited with a family member
