Experience the 2018 European Capital City for Culture
UNESCO describes Valletta, Malta's capital city as an open air museum. This year (2018) Valletta is hosting the European Capital City for Culture.
Dating back to the 16th century, it was built by the Knights of St John.
A visit to Valletta must definitely include the Upper Barracca Gardens and see a birds eye view of Malta's largest natural harbour and St John Co-cathedral. The latter is full of works of arts to say the least. (Note that this is closed on Saturday afternoons and on Sundays)
There are several OPTIONAL places we can visit in Valletta. I suggest that we visit at least 3 of the following:
- Grand Master's Palace,
- Piazza Regina,
- Archaeology Museum,
- Casa Rocca Piccola,
- Manoel Theatre and
- Fort St Elmo & War Museum amongst others.
Please feel free to contact me to discuss your ideal day in Valletta.
This tour will provide a good overview of our capital city. Prior to the tour we will select which sites you want to see from this list:

The total tour length and order in which we see each site depends on weather, traffic, the group's pace, site at each site and other factors.
