A visit to an ancient World Heritage Site and the home of the Magna Carta
This Day Excursion from London is a real treat, as we get to explore a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the most famous and mysterious stone circle on the planet at Stonehenge - plus a visit to a 13th Century Gothic Cathdral which is home to one of only 4 copies of the MagnaCarta at Salisbury Cathedral.
Stonehenge is of course a massive prehistoric monument, a ring of standing stones - whose builders and its purpose remain a mystery.
Join me in a walk in the footsteps of our Neolithic ancestors, and enjoy the Stonehenge Exhibition at the fantastic new English Heritage Visitor Centre.
Salisbury Cathedral is a13th century Gothic masterpiece that has the tallest spire in Great Britain, and its beautiful stone decoration and is home to one of only four original copies of the Great Charter of 1215 (more commonly known as the Magna Carta, which is the very foundation of national constitutions of both the UK and USA.
I shall Meet and Greet you at your London hotel or preferred pick-up location.
We say all exit London through the English Countryside to head directly to Stonehenge English Heritage Site (journey time 2 hours).
You might like to take Refreshments before visiting the Stone Circle - and the Museum at the Visitor Centre can be enjoyed while at this UNESCO World Heritage Site (visit time total 2. 5 hours).

We shall visit Salisbury Cathedral, a 13th century Gothic place of worship.
