Explore the secret coves and dramatic clifftop locations featured in Poldark

The tour visits some of the key locations used in the filming of TV's Poldark, starring Aiden Turner. We will travel the stunning coastal road around the Penwith Peninsula, taking in the the settings for Wheal Leisure, the Poldark mine; the beach where the famous swimming scene was filmed; the real-life village used as the village of Saul and many others.
We will walk on the clifftop paths where many of the key scenes take place and stop for refreshments at the hidden cafe that fed the cast and crew on one of the night shoots.
Many would argue that the scenery is one of the stars of the show and this tour will prove that point!
As with all my tours, this one can be customised and adapted to suit your requirements.

Itinerary

I will pick you up at about 9. 00 am (although the time is flexible to suit you) and we will take the coast road from St Ives to the UNESCO World Heritage site at Botallack. This route is one of the most stunning in Cornwall and really showcases the dramatic coastline. Botallack is where most of the scenes at the Poldark family mine take place and the Crown Engine Houses are one of the most photographed views of the area. From here we will travel to Porthgwarra and Gwennap Head, featured in many episodes in the series. Next is Porthcurno, possibly one of the prettiest beaches in the World and location of the famous Minack Theatre.
After this we will head to Penberth Cove, a tiny, unspoilt fishing village that plays the village of Saul in the show. Be careful when crossing the stepping stones!
Finally we will head to the Lizard Peninsula to visit the cove where the shipwreck scene was filmed, the Church where Dr Enys and Caroline were married and the iconic Kynance Cove. we then return to your accommodation.
