A phenomenon of karst hydrography
Croatia's first and largest National park, Plitvice lakes, also inscribed on the UNESCO's World Heritage List is one of our main pearls that attracts visitors from all over the world. Inside the park are located also our biggest waterfall, density forest, caves and trekking paths full of life of many endemic fauna and flora spices. "There are water, lakes, waterfalls and forest elsewhere, but Plitvice Lakes, are unique they simply must be seen!" (Academic, Ivo Pevalek, 1937).
For all bookings in 2018, I donate a free side trip to the old fisherman village with one of the most impressive panoramic views on our coast. It is marvelous, unforgettable and hidden for masses!
Our first stop is going to be a lovely, sleepy and remote fisherman village settled inside the narrow S-shape bay with a castle reigns from the top over the area. Let's start the day with a coffee and some unforgettable panoramic photos over the castle, village and a bay.
Now we are ready for almost 2 hours long drive towards entry point of Lower Plitvice lakes National park. Have a break for the lunch on the way.
Numerous waterfalls, emerald green lakes and rich flora and fauna will surprise us soon after entering the park. For the beginning of our tour we will pass ex miller's house on the way to most beautiful panoramic view point over the biggest Croatian waterfall and lower lakes with famous Emerald lake, where famous movie of Winnetou was filmed.
After relaxing walk and exploring the Lower part of the lakes we are going to hit the wooden path all the way back to the last lake. Now is time to get back to stony and walled island city of Zadar.
