Visit to Alfabia, Deya and Palma
We begin our Mallorca adventure with a visit to Palma including one of the city's colorful markets which is a myriad of colors and scents. Just 25 minutes away, we will visit an estate which was founded over one-thousand years ago by the Arabs and where time has left traces of each era while the whole complex maintains its balance. We will learn the importance of the olive oil industry to the local economy and savor some freshly squeezed orange juice. An ascent into the Tramuntana Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage site, represents a spectacular example of a terraced, farmed landscape. Orchards, vegetable gardens, ancient olive groves, a waterworks network, small farms and large estates exemplify the interchange between man and the land. We will stop for lunch in the creative village of Deya before returning to Palma. Time to stretch your legs while visiting the historic center of the city before stopping to enjoy a selection of delicious tapas at one of my favorite tapa bars.
Walking visit of the monumental area of Palma, the commercial district and market.
25 minute drive to Alfabia estate.
Drive through Tramauntana mountains with stop for photos.
Visit Deya and time for lunch.
