West End, the oldest settlement on Grand Bahama. Historical, Cultural, Fun...!!!
Take in the Historical Heritage sites in Grand Bahama's Native Settlements en route to the Home of Hospitality.
We will visit the Perfume Factory where you can create your very own signature scent at the same time to take back home with you.
After which, we will visit the Grumma's House cultural center where you will learn all about us, the Bahamas, as a people and a nation. This is of course a stop only if this is of interest to you.
Of course you will want to learn how we make our very own beer at the Bahamian Brewery on this private tour. You will then get to sample everything made there and have as much as you like in the owner's private bar upstairs, Jimmy's Bar.
We will travel through all of our local settlements en route to West End taking in all of our heritage sites
along the way such as the Pinder's Point Lighthouse, Ronnie's Bakery, the Boiling Hole and Josey Cave.
We stop at Paradise Cove for the best snorkeling experience before going on to West End.
This daytrip starts at the Perfume Factory where you will learn how we make our very own fragrances.
We tour the Bahamian Brewery where you learn how we make our local beers and sample every one in the owners private bar.
In Pinder's Point we will visit the Pinder's Point Bakery and the Lighthouse.
After this, we then tour the local settlements in Eight Mile Rock visiting the Boiling Hole and Josey's Cave. We walk the trail to Josey's Cave, a dry cave used by our Lucayan Indian ancestors.
We stop at Paradise Cove for snorkeling for those of you who want to snorkel.
Afterwards we go to West End, tour the village and Old Bahama Bay Resort stopping along the way for sampling the best native dishes. You can try fresh conch salad on the bay in West End and the best conch fritters on the island at Rosie's Chicken Nest as we enter the settlement of West End.
At the end of the day, on the beach at Teaser's, you can enjoy a cool island drink of choice overlooking the most beautiful beach at Old Bahama Bay.

50 BD - You may want to snorkel at Paradise Cove. The cost for the day of full snorkel equipment is $20 per person with a $20 refundable deposit when you return the snorkel equipment used to them.
My recommendation is to budget at least $50 per person for food and drink and another $50 for shopping. The Bahamian dollar and the US dollar are at par. They are equal value and interchangeable all over the island.

Hida was an amazing tour guide! We highly recommend her to anyone who is going to be traveling to the Grand Bahama Island. Her tour packages are great for couples or families alike as she customizes her tours to her guests. We love Hida so much that we are already talking about a second trip to the Grand Bahama Island.
