Experience the twin cities Elsinore and Helsingborg on this full day tour
Why settle for one when you can have two?
Denmark and Sweden are separated by the Øresund Strait and are located less than 3 miles apart at its narrowest point. For centuries, the Southern provinces of Sweden formed part of the Danish kingdom, and today the connection between the two regions are still strong.
Elsinore, located approx. 30 miles north of Copenhagen, is one of Denmark's best preserved Medieval cities with many old quaint houses, narrow streets and beautiful churches, all located in the city's buzzling commercial area. Elsinore is also home to Kronborg Castle, otherwise known as Hamlet's castle as set in Shakespeare's famous play.
Across Øresund, only a 20 minute ferry ride away, is Elsinore's twin city, Helsingborg, today a busy industrial city which still boasts a beautiful Medieval city centre with narrow streets and small restaurants located below the remaining tower of the old fortress Kärnan.
