Picturesque scenic Tour of the English Countryside
Timeless Lacock is the perfect English village and sits picturesquely as our entry point into the beautiful Cotswolds, the quintessential English countryside.
Our visit to Lacock Village will be like going back in time with its twisting streets, attractive buildings (some dating back to the 15th centuriy) and Lacock Abbey which has all the character and atmosphere of medieval England.
This is also a must for movie fans, as film makers constantly camp out in Lacock to capture those dramatic period screenings.
The Cotswolds offer idyllic charm fr the perfect day out anywhere in England, and we shall include a visit to the peaceful village of Bibery with its honey coloured 17th century weavers cottages.
Our day will include other rural villages and market towns such as Tetbury (close to Highgrove the home of the Prince of Wales) and sleepy Burford in the Windrush Valley which is another charming medieval town that somehow the railways left behind - but we can reach all of these places in my London Black Cab.
I shall Meet and Great you at your London hotel and we will head west out of town in my London Black Cab, out into the English Countryside towards Wiltshire - pausing at a cosy14th century thatched roof pub for morning coffee.
Arriving in Laycock Village we shall explore the Abbey (where Movie fans can walk in the footsteps of Harry Potter or admire the Cloisters used in Wolf Hall) before walking around the timeless twisted streets (many more film connections), St. Cyriac's Church, King John's Hunting Lodge and the Packhorse Bridge.
Lunch can be enjoyed at any of the 4 traditional English pubs.
Relax en route to the medieval market town of Tetbury in the heart of the Cotswolds, the stunning Village of Bibury with its architecturally conserved weavers cottages, before visiting beuftiful Burford.
After a full day in rural England we shall glide London-bound to your hotel.
This tour can be customised to include further exploration in Bourton-on-the-Water, Stow-on-the-Wold and/or Moreton-in-the-Marsh.
