Explore the "must-see's" of Copenhagen private tour
On this tour we will explore the most significant parts of Copenhagen. We see the medieval part of town and some of the areas to the north of the city, like the Little Mermaid, the Gefion Fountain and depending on your wishes, freetownn Christiania and Christianshavn.
We will explore the origins of Copenhagen, the era of the powerful kings, the reformation, the birth of democracy and not least the modern life as it takes place in this old city, be it architectural high-lights, hippies or new parts of town emerging
This tour combines walking (as much as you like) with other means of transportation. The tour is good for those who like a little less walking than on a pure walking tour, or just like to get a little bit further around. If you are a bigger group of 8 or more, my private bus tour is probably better, but for the smaller group this tour is cheaper - and it's fun to try out the different transportation methods in Copenhagen.
We will adjust the tour to fit your needs, but the tour could include:
Christiansborg - Danish parliament and birthplace of Copenhagen
Nyhavn - 'New Harbour', the 400 year idyllic canal with its colorful houses
Amalienborg - the Queen's castle
The Marble Church
Kongens Nytorv - 'King's new square' with the finest 18C buildings in Copenhagen
Church of our Lady - Copenhagen's most important church and the birth of Lutheran reformation in Denmark
Christiania - the "hippie town" still surviving today after being occupied by several hundred flower power-hippies in 1971
Christianshavn - the "Little Amsterdam" quarter with canals and some of the oldest buildings in Copenhagen
The Little Mermaid
Depending on our route, we could be using following means of transportation:
Taxi from cruise terminal
Metro to Christianshavn and Christiania
Bike taxi back to cruise ship (if cruise ship docks at "Langelinie").
Harbour boat tour (if your preference is a little more sailing and a little less walking)
Meeting Location + Tour Duration
Meeting location: What is most convenient for you. A hotel in the center or Vesterbro district is good. If the meeting place is outside the central areas (like cruise ship, airport or Bella Sky/Crowne Palace hotels, we will need a little part of the time for local transport, but I will do my best to make it a rewarding time.
End location: Where you wish in Copenhagen - cruise ship, hotel, a good shopping area, Tivoli Gardens (where I can one person in) or elsewhere
Duration: 5 hours
If you like shorter (down to 3 hours) or longer tours, that can be possible. Ask me for price.
We will use a combination of walking, bus, metro, taxi, bike taxi and boat - depending on what our aims are
Your guide's experience, knowledge of the city and effort to make this the best tour for you.
A personal printed guide to the Vesterbro district with its best cafés, restaurant and bars to be explored after your tour.

A map of the city.
Estimated Local Cash Needed
200 dkk - You don't really need any local cash as all things can be paid for by international credit cards. Visa and Mastercard are good, but not always American Express or Diner's Club and sometimes card without a chip get rejected, but if we should encounter problems, I can pay and you pay me back in your currency.
Transportation is NOT included and varies according to how much we are using it.
To give you an idea, the expenses could be (per person):
Taxi from cruise terminal (100 dkk per person - less for Langeliniekaj, more for Oceankaj further away, and less if we fill up the taxi(s) well (four passengers in a taxi, including me).
Metro, bus and harbour bus: 24 kroner for 1,5 hours, so for example 48 kroner (24 hour no-hassle City Pass: 80 kr)
Boat Canal Tour - if you like to sail an hour rather than walk: 80 dkk.
Bike taxi (if we opt for that one): 100 dkk
Lunch: Unless we make the tour shorter, you would probably like to have lunch on the way (count on 150 dkk plus drinks). Drinks and snacks are also extra if you like to have that.
Tickets to a museum if we decide to go into one (not necessary for the trip (up to 100 dkk).
