This is going to be one of the best experience, exploring the highlands of Guatemala, connecting with culture, local traditions, nature, and wellness.
Quetzaltenango is the second most important city in Guatemala, also known by its Mayan name "Xela".
During the road to Quetzaltenango, you will see wonderful landscapes of the mountains and volcanos around the area. Xela, the main city is 2333 meters above sea level, so be ready for the altitude.
Once you get to the city, you will feel the weather is changing, a cold weather is part of the beauty of this city; between 5 to 25 celsius.
Chicabal lagoon and Volcano and the Hot Springs will be our point of destiny outside the city.
We will explore and learn about the architecture, history and local life of Xela. A cultural city, Maya Quiche.
