Kitakyushu, Fukuoka, Japan

Hello, I am Amy, a national licensed tour guide who loves meeting people from all over the world.

I was born in Hiroshima and raised in Kitakyushu city which is 70km away from Fukuoka city.

Kitakyushu is a very unique, important historical and modern city in Japan. It was not only a pivotal samurai castle town during the Edo era (17th-19th century) but also one of the most important industrial cities which contributed to the modernization of Japan in the 1900's.
What is more, it is now a national and world leader in Eco-technology.

Kitakyushu is also blessed with natural beauty and we can enjoy fresh seafood, too.
(There are some of the most famous SUSHI restaurants!)
It would be nice if I can show you around my hometown.

Just like you, I also love traveling! I have been to many countries and have learned a lot through my traveling experiences. Let me help you have a wide variety of unforgettable and authentic Japanese experiences.

My tours are being flexible and open to customiziation. Please feel free to contact me.

A Recent Review of this guide

I had an excellent tour with Amy san to Shimonoseki. I was able to eat some seafood that I have been waiting for a few decades to be able to do, and it was excellent! I also was able to see Hoichi the earless and the markers for Antoku Tenno and the other Taira clan members. Amy san added the right amount of information which made the stories that much more rich. An excellent tour!
