Hi! I am Yuko. I am a government certified tour guide.
Tokyo is a very exciting place with both traditional and modern cities. I would love to show you beautiful places in Japan and share a little bit of Japanese spirit and culture with you. I like to travel and have visited a lot of places. Especially when I visited overseas countries, I felt cultural deference which was very interesting and broadened my horizons. Every country has its own good points. I hope I can help you to be impressed by something in Japan.
In my spare time, I stroll in and around Tokyo and have nice lunch with my husband , with my friends, enjoy keeping fit by swimming in the pool and sometimes see musicals. I like the Phantom of the Opera the best. I live close to Tokyo. I would also love to take you to a pretty local town near my place.
During my working career, I had a chance to teach Japanese in Hong Kong, as my husband worked there. After teaching for total 5 years in Honk Kong and Japan, to study Japanese culture and linguistics, I enrolled to the university, where I studied when I was younger. Since then I have been continuing to study something new. It is things like this that enhance the quality of life. I always feel the world is bigger than I expected.
After studying 2 years in the college, I started to work as an English teacher to Japanese junior high school students at a cram school and taught for more than 7 years. I had always been a good listener and tried to understand my student's feelings in order to find out what they do and don't understand, but also how to make them understand easier. Those experiences made me very patient and flexible. Last year I quit the job to focus on guide job. I can apply this knowledge and experience to guide job.
I have two sons and am good at taking care of kids. I love my family and this job. I also love fun things and eating and am always looking for delicious food.
Let's enjoy Japan and learn a little bit of things Japanese with me!
I am looking forward to hearing from you.
