Let's do a Fun Museum Tour and learn about Sweden!
On this walking tour, we cover both Viking History and the great golden jewelry room, the spectacular 17th century ship "Vasa". We are tempted by the Swedish fika inside the open-air museum Skansen and as an optional, if it fits our day, we do an ending at the very playful ABBATheMuseum, where we walk in and dance out!
This means you see Sweden from different angles - Vikings - Wars - Country&Nature and maybe the music in our hearts!
Let's have fun! An easygoing cultural and informative day, with lots of "what's special about Sweden"!!!
We meet at the Djurgårdsbron, the bridge over to the museum island Djurgården and I take you from there. An inside visit at the National Museum of History where they have a great exhibition about the Vikings. There is also a thrilling room with Sweden's biggest show of golden jewelry from 2000 years back in time. Walking across the bridge, you will be surprised! The almost 400 year old battleship with almost incredible stories on display, tickles everyone. About 15 minute's walk over to the open-air museum Skansen, where you really get to know the Swedish farming traditions by visiting the active glass blowers, the Scandinavian reindeers, elks, brown bears and much more. As a bonus we enjoy great coffee/lunch and superb view over the city. And- if possible the playful ending inside ABBATheMuseum "next door".
