Suvla Battlefields Tour
In 1915 allied troops landed on the Gallipoli Peninsula in the northwest of Turkey. In a few months battles on the ridges of the peninsula stalemate of trench warfares forced allies to make an alternative landing further north of Anzac landing zone. On august 6th 1915 thousands of Britishmen started to come ashore at Suvla Bay and were to advance up to some heights. . .
After meeting we drive to northern Anzac Battlefields and visit Hill 60 cemetery and NZ memorial. After talking about the Hill 60 battles and the surroundings drive to Lala Baba Hill and navigating British LZ around Nibrunesi Point, C, B Beaches and South Pier. Salt Lake and the Cut. Drive to Green Hill Cemetery. (Kazlar Chair, Hetman Chair, Deadmen's Gully, Chocolate Hill, Green Hill Battles). Then drive to Suvla Point. On the way Hill 10 and Azmac Cemetery, Scimitar Hill and W Hills can be visited. . .
