I have a degree in folklore and one of the many projects I have had over the past few years is working at The National Museum of Iceland. There I have had the opportunity to welcome guests to guided tours of the museum. I like to meet people from different cultures and therefor I think it is a privilege to be able to introduce you to my culture while showing you the highlights of it.
I have lived in Reykjavík all my life and I can truly say it is one of my favorite places. The city has everything a city needs to offer, it is filled with restaurants, cafés, museum, architecture, shops and swimming pools while loaded with history. For a more tranquil ambiance you need only take a short drive to enjoy nature and relaxation. In a city tour I will be glad to show you some of my favorite places in the city while sharing with you basic information and answering all your questions.
Apart from a city tour I am offering a tour of what we call The Golden Circle and also a south shore adventures. during these tours I will show a few of our most famous sights and some hidden pearls.
These tours can easily be customized to your needs and preferences and I am flexible when it comes to your ideas.
I will enjoy showing you some of the most amazing sights this small island has to offer and tell you all about our culture and folklore. I hope to experience with you not only the beauty of the landscape but also the smiling locals and their warm hearts.
As a folklorist I have a lot of "inside information" when it comes to elves and other mythical creatures that I would be happy to share.
My aim is to make your visit a memorable one!!

Aslaug is very knowledgable and personable. We had a wonderful day. Her vehicle is a little small for four travelers, so if you have four persons consider having her rent a vehicle if you desire a little more space. We were comfortable, but we had two thin teens with us.
