I am proud to be born in this beautiful city and I would be delighted to show you around.
After finishing school I found it important to learn other languages, and I left Norway to live and study German language in Munich, and later French in Geneva, Switzerland.
After two and a half years it was time to go back to Oslo, and I started to work in the travel industry, practicing my languages! That was the start of some great years, traveling to places and above all getting to know and work in the cruise industry.
I have been fortunate to have worked for some of the most renown tour company and cruise lines.
I have done myself many cruises and visited lots of countries in the World. Furthermore, I spent short periods living in some European countries, working at a ski resort in Switzerland, studied Spanish in Spain, and accompanying groups all over Noway.
But it is also when you travel that you are made aware that your own country and your own city is exceptional. That is why I chose to become an Oslo guide and I love taking visitors around revealing the history and specialties of our city.
I majored in Business administration and economics 1991, worked some years as an executive secretary, and I have been a certified guide since 1993. Studying to become an Oslo guide just triggers your interest in knowing and reading everything about our history and art. So for the past years, this has been my passion, apart from taking care of my family (husband and cat) and singing in a choir.
Hope to see you soon in Oslo!
I have graduated in business administration and attended several language courses. I took my Oslo guide excam in 1993. I am particularly interested in art history and history in general.
In Norway you need a professional driver license to drive guests against payment. Our tours are either by public transportation, walking, or we need to hire a car with driver.
