Let's embark on this tour of Lisbon capturing the most beautiful highlights of the city. Lisbon is a very ancient town with roman and moorish vestiges, founded 3000 years ago by the phoenicians. Lisbon spreads across hillsides that overlook the river Tagus which has always been the main highway that attracted different people here.
We will have a glimpse of the old section with beautiful viewing points, see the Lisbon reconstructed after the earthquake and Lisbon of the 16th century, the golden era of the discoveries.
Our tour ends at the Hotel/Pier.

Stop at the viewing point of Park Eduard VII for a perspective of the city below. Continue to the downtown area, rebuilt after the earthquake of 1755 and pass through the oldest, and one of the most charming, quarters of the city, Alfama with walking possibility and amazing views.
Visit the monumental quarter of Belem with its beautiful and interesting monuments dating back to the time of the 16th century discovery voyages. Visit the church of Saint Jerome, which is close to the Belem Tower and Monument to the Discoveries. Possibility to try the famous cream custard tarts with original recipe from the monks.

A Recent Review of this tour

This is the first time we have done anything like this and we are ecstatic with the results. It was like being with a history book who was so pleasant and made everyone feel so comfortable. We are so looking forward to the tour with Susanna tomorrow and can't wait to be rewarded with more history and information. Her love of country is infectious and makes us want more information. Susanna is awesome and we wish we would have tried to book a full day tour with her.
