"Lisboeta" Cultural & Food Tour
On this walking tour we will taste the most typical products of Lisboa.
At the beginning of this food tour we will meet in Trade Square, which is one of the main sights within the Baixa Pombalina (downtown area). We will continue up-hill towards Lisbon's Cathedral where our first stop will take place. I selected for our first tasting a Bifana (pork meat sandwich seasoned with beer, garlic and spices) served with a local beer. After this meal we unveil Alfama its wonderful views and we will get to our second stop, meeting a local lady selling a home made Ginjinha (cherry liqueur). Our final foody stop will be at a bakery close to Lisboa's Castle, where you will not only be able to see the famous Pastel de Nata (Custard tart) being made but also taste this most typical delicacy of Lisboa. The tour will then continue down-hill towards the downtown area in order to see Rossio Square and have a Bica (coffee) in Lisboa's most ancient coffee shop.
