The Chicabal Lagoon and volcano is considered one of the most sacred and ecological sites for the practice of the Mayan cosmovision. The volcano is used for carrying out the traditional Mayan ceremonies all over the year.
This picturesque volcano mixes Mayan-Mam spirituality and stunning mountain scenery with the mysterious lake in the crater of the volcano and its mystical cloud forest.

This is a moderate hike, will take two and a half hours to get up the top and one an a half to go down.
