Enjoy the country side at a family cacao hacienda
Visit a Cacao Hacienda located about 32 miles from Guayaquil to experience and participate on making chocolate. You will learn about the entire process from the tree to chocolate and the importance of the "golden seed" for the Ecuadorian economy as one of the main products of exportations since the colonial times.
This is a family owned hacienda with only organic products such as mangoes, cacao, rice, papaya, dragon fruit, avocado, lemon grass, etc.
First, enjoy a typical Ecuadorian lunch (3 courses) prepared mostly with organic products localy grown in the hacienda and other farms nearby. Afterwards, walk by the plantations and learn abouth the chocolate process. You can participate and make your own chocolate!
