Amazing cultural and natural heritage of Dalmatia
On this tour, we will explore together two amazing UNESCO towns.
My hometown Split, founded 1700 years ago by the Roman emperor Diocletian, is the biggest city on the Croatian coast and one of the most historical cities in the Mediterranean.
Trogir, just a 30-min drive from Split, is a charming little town founded by the ancient Greeks 3 millennia ago. Declared one of the world's most beautiful little towns, it boasts with the best-preserved Romanesque-Gothic complex, not only in the Adriatic but in all of Central Europe.
In Split, we will explore the old UNESCO town and emperor Diocletian's palace. We will walk through the palace fortifications and gates, see the historical square Peristyle, visit the Jewish ghetto, admire Split's seafront - Riva - and see the oldest cathedral building in the world!
Both in Split and Trogir there are lots of wonderful small restaurants serving Dalmatian - Mediterranean food, so there would be an opportunity to try some of the local specialties, as well. . .
Please note, all of my tours are completely flexible - the clients are the ones whose preferences would determine the pacing, sights to visit, the coffee and lunch breaks, etc. However, the general tour itinerary you can find below:
