Historical Introduction to the City
If you have more time and would like to see even more sites and delve even deeper into Berlin's past, then this is the tour for you! This tour will show you all the main sites, along with lots of off-the-beaten path sites, and give you a thorough historical overview in six hours. The time will fly by as we see the best of what Berlin has to offer and as I explain Berlin's 800-year past, from its start as a small village along the Spree river, to its incarnation as the Nazi headquarters, to its divided past during the Cold War, and ending with its current form as an exciting but economically struggling capital.
Berlin is enormous, but the main sites are conveniently located in the historical city center, which means that this tour is best done by foot. I like to set a slow but steady pace, so we'll keep moving but won't go too quickly. We can stop for photos whenever you'd like, and I'm happy to be your photographer, as well as your tour guide, when we're together.

Meeting location: I like to meet my clients in their hotel lobby, and after a short historical introduction, we will head off. If you prefer to meet at a central point downtown, just please let me know!
End location: The ending location is always different, but if you have a specific request, I can certainly make it happen!

Heather was exceptional. She made Berlin make sense. She was able to use the sites to explain German and Berlin's history. It was a great overview of the city. Unfortunately she left us at the Largest department store in Europe that had a Luis Vuitton store.
