Discover the Bay of Naples like a local person would with a private guide
Private tour to Discover the Ancient Pompeii and Sorrento as a local person would! Move around fast and cheap by public transport and discover two of the highlights of the Bay of Naples. Pompeii, the second most visited archaeological site in Italy, an incredibly well preserved roman town, buried for centuries under volcanic ashes. Step into ancient public baths, private villas, public buildings, snack bars, shops, theatres and a 2000 year old amphitheatre. Marvel at the fabulously preserved frescoes and mosaics which adorn the walls and floors of the villas. Sorrento, the Resort area on the Bay of Naples, an ideal place for a nice italian meal, for a stroll at slow pace, and for some shopping. The best and the cheapest way to discover the Bay of Naples.
At the Circumvesuviana train station a train to Pompeii is available every 30 minutes and it takes about half an hour.
The train station at Pompeii is right in front of the entrance to the archeological site.
My tour of Pompeii is tuned onto your desires and physical attitude. The city is roughly 150 acres large, so the visit will be focused on the highlights surrounding the city centre (Forum), unless differently required.
If you like, there will be opportunities to buy souvenirs, books, a pizza or a pressed orange juice.
From Pompeii it takes half an hour to Sorrento, and it brings us 5 minutes walking distance from the old town. There we will do an orientation walking tour through the pedestrian area. Here there is plenty of lovely corners and opportunities for shopping.
Sorrento is also rich with many good restaurants; if you need I can give you good hints for an excellent italian meal.
Before I leave you, I will provide you with all the information you may need to go back to Naples.

Fabrizio did a great job on a very hot and dusty day. He showed us Pompeii in a short time, with a variety of different types of ruins and it was truly spectacular. He engaged the children, helped us with finding water and was clear in his directions and instructions for when we parted ways. He recommended a great resturant in Sorrento, too!
