Beautiful English countryside tour, including medieval villages and market towns
My Cotswold tour takes you on a journey through the Cotswolds, the heart of rural England.
Meander through the lanes of tranquil villages, tucked away down hidden valleys, nestled among the gently rolling hills of this quintessentially English countryside. We will visit the ancient market towns where you can stroll around the local antique shops, spoil yourself with a traditional English cream-tea or enjoy the sunshine in one of the beer gardens of an Old English pub.
We visit villages such as Castle Combe (known as the prettiest village in England), Snowshill, Bibury, Lower Slaughter and Market towns like Tetbury (home of Highgrove), Burford, Chipping Campden and Broadway.
Depending on where you are staying, this wonderful three day tour will take you on a journey around the Cotswolds - an Area of Outstanding natural Beauty.
Day one will explore the south Cotswolds - Castle Combe (one of England's prettiest villages), Tetbury, Cirencester, Bibury, Lacock, the Coln Valley, Burford.
Day two the North Cotswolds - visiting Lower Slaughter, Snowshill, Broadway, Broadway tower, Chipping Campden, Stow on the Wold, Moreton in Marsh.
Day three - a pick up the pieces 'magical mystery day!'
By now we will know each other very well and we can visit the places that we haven't yet visited - like Blenheim Palace, Sudeley Castle, Oxford, Bath and many more - the choice is yours!
In between these village and market town visits we will be driving through some of Englands prettiest countryside, stopping for lunch at an Old English pub , and experiencing life in the Cotswolds be it at a market, antique shop, walk along a famous footpath or stopping at a beautiful vista.

It was important to our group of four that when we returned home we'd feel we'd seen and done it all in the Cotswolds. Jon kept us so busy each day and upon reflection we realize three days wasn't long enough. Jon was about the best guide we've experienced as seasoned travelers. We insisted he join us for lunch daily so we could continue to pick his brain A truly huge treat was walking the Wardens Path between Lower and Upper Slaughter. We have nothing similar where we live.
