Private 5-hour Car & Walking Tour

This tour is perfect for visitors who want to combine sightseeing with tasting Polish food and learning about our culture in a relaxed way.

During the tour:

- find out what the Poles are by eating our most popular delicacies such as dumplings, herring, beef tartare or sour rye soup

- taste Polish vodka, beer or compote

- learn about Polish customs, traditions, tastes and style of living

- see how the Old Town was reconstructed after WW II

- listen to Chopin music and find out where Madame Curie did her first experiments

- hear anecdotes about the Palace of Culture and Science, the main symbol of communism in Poland

If you want to change the program of the tour, let me know. I am flexible and will do my best to make you satisfied.

Itinerary

We will start our tour with the Old Town to see the Royal Castle, St. John's Cathedral, Market Square and City Defensive Walls.

We will also walk along the Royal Route to see the Presidential Palace, Chopin Apartments and Warsaw University.

After the 2-hour walk we will eat in a typically Polish restaurant famous for pierogi (dumplings) and other Polish specialties. There you will see what Polish folk looks like.

Then, we will go to the City Center to see the communist architecture and its main symbol - the Palace of Culture and Science. It is still the highest building in the city. We will also drive through the Jewish Ghetto.

In the center we will stop in another place to taste Polish specialties. The choice is yours: we can either have a coffee or dessert in a brand cafe of the most famous Polish chocolate brand (a good place to buy tasty souvenirs from Warsaw), or we can stop in a typical bar with snacks and vodka. We can also have beer tasting in a multitap bar.

A Recent Review of this tour

Gosia was great. Picked us up at the airport and drove us to our hotel to check in before our tour started. She is very knowledgeable and passionate on Polish and Warsaw history and included everything we wanted in our tour we walked away with a lot of ideas on how to spend our next 2 days in Warsaw, including things we would never have thought of by ourselves.
